Associations

PDI rubs shoulders with some of the best and the brightest the industry has to offer through memberships in a few select professional associations. They provide us with up-to-the-minute news and the chance to work with other professionals who share our same ideals.

American Translators Association

The American Translators Association (ATA) is the largest professional society of translators and interpreters in the U.S. One of its foremost missions is to formulate and maintain standards of professional ethics, practice and competence. Like the ATA, we're committed to the highest quality translation and standards. PDI's own Ken Sakai is a regular speaker at the ATA annual conferences.

The Association of Language Companies

ALC is a unique national trade organization representing businesses that provide translation, interpretation, and language training services.

Japan-America Society of Oregon

Known to our members simply as JASO (ja-zo), we are a private, non-profit, membership organization dedicated to promoting business, education, and cultural exchange and enhancing mutual understanding between the people of Japan, Oregon and SW Washington.

Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International

Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) is the trade association serving the global semiconductor industry, an industry in which PDI is deeply involved. SEMI, which represents more than 2,400 member companies with a $100 billion global market share, is dedicated to providing programs and services to foster the growth and development of the semiconductor industry through business and technical education as well as through public policy initiatives. Thanks to SEMI, PDI is able to keep close contact with the semiconductor industry and its technological innovations through international conventions.
