We follow a time tested and true process to ensure the most cost-effective work possible. The results?
Here's why.
Project Coordinators: It all begins with a project coordinator who choreographs the job from start to finish. The project coordinator assesses your needs, particularly looking at terminology, format, and delivery. The project coordinator also becomes familiar with your company, including the translation materials and the target audience in order to assemble the appropriate team with the most relevant qualifications and experience. The coordinator acts as the central point of communication between you and PDI, and monitors the progress of the researchers, translators, proofreaders and DTP staff to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Translators: We require that our translators be qualified in their field of specialization and that they have relevant work and translation experience. Regardless of their qualifications, all are rigorously and regularly evaluated to ensure the quality of their work.
Proofreaders: We call them proofreaders but they're really checkers, copy editors and rewriters all in one. The proofreader is a native of the target language who is also fluent in the source language. Proofreaders have the job of checking for sentence accuracy and terminology consistency. They also ensure that the writing is natural and easy to read and that it is in the proper style, which is especially important in legal documents and contracts.
